SKILLS FOR LIFE™ COURSE
Our challenging Skills for Life™ course aims to help students recognise and apply their unique combination of character strengths as they learn how to navigate the world. Using their strengths, students explore how to be the best version of themselves inside and outside school.
FOR AGES 13 – 18 | DURATION 8 DAYS
A POWERFUL LASTING IMPACT FOR LIFE
Our Skills for Life™ programme targets young people in secondary education and helps them recognise and apply their unique character strengths at school, at home, and in life.
Combining an extended adventurous journey outdoors with a series of facilitated problem-solving activities takes young people out of their comfort zones and into a challenging learning environment.
They learn how to use their character strengths to reach their goals, find greater meaning and engagement at school, and more happiness and balance in life.
Our Skills for Life™ course is accredited by the International Award for Young People.
We help young people to identify, develop and apply their character strengths
In our unique Skills for Life™ course, students learn to tap into the power of their character strengths – such as bravery, creativity, kindness, perseverance, honesty, and more – to build self-confidence, boost a positive attitude, and cope with the inevitable stress of life.
They will also find out how to spot strengths in those around them, such as friends, family and teachers.
Finally, they discover how their character strengths can help bolster their engagement in life, enhance positive and healthy relationships, give their lives greater meaning, increase their accomplishments, and improve physical and mental health.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS HAVE TO SAY
As students get to know another better, they become more tolerant and empathetic… and they look at each other differently and with more appreciation and understanding.
Amanda LeeSchool Teacher
By recognising and naming character strengths, the child has been given the freedom, to manifest that strength. We’ve empowered them, and given them permission to sit in their greatness.
Adam KolinsSchool Teacher
The consistent language that this programme has provided for not only our staff but for our children, has helped them to understand their strengths as well as identify areas to improve.
Bob WickSchool Teacher
I think that students gain personal strength from the programme. The students gained self-confidence as others began naming their unique strengths. It’s confirmation that they have strengths, and our students don’t always get this at home.
